King of the Forest Records - Record Store

Home Page

Everything form the Iconic to the Moronic.
Welcome to King of the Forest Records online Record Store.  Yard Sale discoveries become topics of conversation and purchase.  We promise to be honest in our opinions and our appraisals of all Records and Albums.

We use the Goldmine system of appraising the condition of records and their value for all items in the Record Store.  We will be offering records and items from our personal collection as well as items found along the way.  If you would like us to find a specific item for you we will be glad to keep an eye out for it as well as check our own stock.

Satisfaction Guaranteed:

We will do our best to inspect each item before adding it to the store and again before shipment. We realize that on rare occassions, something may be overlooked. We have many records in inventory and we will not be able to listen to all of them before shipment, in most  instances the record is graded visually. There are times a record can look good but the sound quality is poor. In any of these cases, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will refund the purchase price.

Item Description:
The detail of each record contains the Record Album Title, Catalogue #, Goldmine book value (BV), Grade for Vinyl, Grade for Cover and sometimes King of the Forest Records internal coding. The BV is for NM classification. This value is given as a reference. We grade conservatively based on Goldmine standards. The Photos show the exact item you will get.

A note from the King of the Forest:

My first record was the single "Try too Hard" from the Dave Clark Five.  I can still remember listening to it the first time. I still remember my heart speeding up and my mind going  to that place where minds go when overloaded my the sounds and imagery of certain songs.  I had the experience over and over again through the years.
Trips to the local Record Store were always an adventure.  As I got older I owned quite a few record albums. There were a few that I literally wore out from over playing them.  The Who's Live at Leeds, The Stone's Get yer Yas Yas out. Little Feat's Feats don't Fail me now and David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust to name a few.  These Albums were great.
Vinyl records still have a rich sound quality and CD's will never match the artwork and occasional poster that were part of LP records.
The mystery and mastery of the early Rock and Roll records still remains.  A guy named Dr. M. F. Stephenson once said of a local gold rush, "There's gold in them thar hills."  I say of the Vinyl records from my youth: "There's magic in them thar grooves!
